Lou Tabory 

Lou is the Northeast’s pioneer and an acknowledged forefather of saltwater fly fishing. Mr. Tabory’s 40 years experience, writings in Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, Saltwater Sportsman and American Angler, along with three books he’s authored, makes Lou the ultimate choice for this seminar series. Lou’s books include Inshore Fly Fishing and Lou Tabory’s Baits and Their Imitations. Lou is a member of the OWAA, Federation of Flyfisher’s Board of Governors & casting instructor and an endorsed pro.

 

 

Rich Johnson  

Rich is a sponsor and producer of the NY National Boat Show's Seminar Series and a featured speaker at regional events though the year. Johnson is the 15-year executive producer and host of The Fishing Line television and his radio shows with the radio broadcast Saturdays at 4 p.m. on WGBB 1240AM radio. Al Ristori

Captain Al Ristori was born in Brooklyn, grew up on Long Island and currently lives in the Manasquan Park, N.J. He's been the Saltwater editor of NJ’s Star-Ledger since 1984 and is a regional editor of Salt Water Sportsman. Al has appeared on The Fishing Line radio & TV shows. He's written a number of fishing books including North American Saltwater Fishing, The Saltwater Fish Identifier, and Fishing for Bluefish. A tireless conservationist for our fisheries, Mr. Ristori is the executive director of the Emergency Committee to Save America's Marine Resources; he also served on the original Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council. Ristori charters the 35-foot boat out of Highlands, N.J. specializing in striped bass and school tuna. Captain Al Ristori will be speaking the first weekend of the Boat Show,  December 13 & 14, and will be in The Fishing Line’s booth to answer your questions.
 

Captain Greg Markert

Captain Greg runs the NJ party boat icon Golden Eagle out of Belmar, NJ. Greg earned his masters license by working on four of the legendary NJ party boats including the one he currently owns, the Golden Eagle. Captain Greg and the captains of the Golden Eagle are veterans of untold canyon tuna trips and for over 25 years, Captain Greg has fished the waters from New Jersey to Maryland. Captain Rob Jackson

Captain Rob Jackson operates the 30-foot charter boat April Lynn and charters out of Brooklyn, NY. With over two decades of boating experience, not only in our local northeast waters but all over the world, Captain Rob's fishing credentials include a Cayman Islands National Record for White Marlin on 30-pound line class. Captain Rob Jackson is new to our seminar schedule and specializes in the Jamaica Bay and NY Bight areas for fluke, striped bass and reef fishing sea bass and blackfish. Captain Chris Cullen 

Captain Chris Cullen operator of the Island Current Fleet in City Island, NY has extensive knowledge of the western and central areas of LI Sound. With 25 years experience both on deck and in the wheelhouse, Captain Cullen is well versed in everything from bottom fishing for giant blackfish to nighttime fishing for trophy striped bass.
